HIGH SPEED

When HIGH SPEED is selected then the

wipers will move continuously across the

windshield at high speed. This mode is not

controlled by the BCM but will be detected by the

state change of the front wiper parking switch

input.

2. FRONT WASH:

When the front washer switch is pressed,

washer fluid is sprayed onto the front windshield.

Maximum wash time is 30 seconds to protect the

washer fluid motor.

If the wiping mode is OFF or

INTERMITTENT, wiping will begin 0.5 seconds

after washing begins, at LOW SPEED. When

washing finishes, the wipers will wipe for 3 more

sweeps, before returning to the previous mode.

If the wiping mode is FLICK, LOW

SPEED or HIGH SPEED, wiping will continue in

the same mode.

If the mode is changed from LOW SPEED

or HIGH SPEED to OFF or INTERMITTENT

during a wash, the wipers will wipe for 3 more

sweeps at the end of washing before changing to

the new mode.

3. DRIP WIPE

After a front wash operation, the front

wiper should operate for one sweep after a time

period to remove any drips from the windscreen.

If the wiping mode is OFF, a single wipe

should be performed 5 seconds after the wiper

has returned to park at the end of the wash event.

If the wiping mode is INTERMITTENT and

the time period is 6 seconds or less, the

INTERMITTENT wiping should continue as

normal. For any other time period a single wipe

should be performed 5 seconds after the wiper

has returned to park at the end of the wash event.

INTERMITTENT mode should then continue at

the set interval. The interval timer should be reset

to zero after the single drip wipe.

If the wiping mode is LOW SPEED or

HIGH SPEED or continuous FLICK wipe then Drip

Wipe is not active.

NOTE:

When the wipers are ‘ON’, the wiping mode is

‘ON’. If the wipers are ‘OFF’, the wiping mode is

‘OFF’.
