5. TIGHTENING TORQUES AND CONSTRUCTIONAL DETAILS:-
Precautions:-
1. The fasteners should be tightened to following specified torque. If the fasteners are not tightened to
specified torque that is either over tightened or under tightened. It will result in leakage at joints &
damage to the parts/threads. It will also adversely affect the performances of the parts / system because
various clearances / bearing plays in the aggregates are governed by the recommended torques of the
fasteners.
2. When choosing the torque wrench, remember that it should not be subjected to torque exceeding three-
fourth of its capacity.
3. Before tightening, clean the threads and apply a little lubricating oil (CS-SPEED PETRONAS TUTELA’
CS-SPEED) if required.
