HVAC

The refrigerant flow through HVAC system is same as

that of A/C system.

The only difference is, in HVAC system, there is a

heater coil or heater core which functions as a heat

transfer unit for providing warm air.

Hot engine coolant is circulated through heater coil. A

blower is positioned in front of the heater core to blow

cold outside air over the core. As this air travels over

the heater core, it heats up and becomes the hot air

which blows through the vents.

For achieving different temperature, hot air fromheater

can be blended with cold air from evaporator.
