•
Take out air filter element from cover to inspect,
clean or replacement.
Refitment of Air filter element:
•
Follow the above procedure for removal of air filter
element in reverse order.
Removal of Air Filter Housing from vehicle:
•
Remove tail gate. (Refer Body group for removal of
tail gate).
•
Remove rear shelf.
•
Disconnect flexible hose (air filter to atmosphere)
at air filter housing end.
NOTE
To remove the hose, press the lock with the help of
screw driver and pull the hose from filter housing.
•
Remove the hose clamp securing air filter housing
and flexible hose (air filter to throttle body).
•
Disconnect flexible hose (air filter to throttle body)
at air filter housing end.
•
Unscrew the mounting screw below the filter
housing.
NOTE
The air filter housing is mounted on three mounting
ends as shown in fig. Out of three, one end has
threaded boss for screw & other two are press fitted
on body as shown below.
