BRAKE SYSTEM
6. Remove clip securing parking brake cable to the
brake back plate and disconnect parking brake
cable from brake back plate.
7. Remove the brake drum (Refer rear brake drum
removal procedure).
8 .
Remove four mounting bolts of back plate and take
out back plate assembly.
9. Remove brake shoes and wheel cylinder and take
out brake back plate.
REAR BRAKE BACK PLATE
Removal
1. Remove wheel (s) (Refer wheel removal
procedure / Wheels and tires group).
2. Remove wheel hub cover (3), wheel lock nut (2)
and thrust washer (1) as shown in fig.
3. Attach a transparent (vinyl) bleed tube to the bleed
screw having first removing its rubber dust cap.
4. Unscrew the bleed screw 1/2 to 3/4 turn and pump
out the brake fluid in a suitable container by
operating the brake pedal. Remove the bleed tube.
5. Remove the hydraulic brake line attached to wheel
cylinder assembly.
