SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

AIR FILTER

Inspection:

Every time the air filter element is removed to clean,

inspect the condition of the element and replace

at intervals mentioned in the service schedule and

also when clogged, usually indicated by darken-

ing of the element.

· Check for any cracks in the air filter housing and

cover which may result in intrusion of unfiltered air.

Cleaning:

Clean the air filter element by vacuuming it parallel

to the folds or vacuuming it in the same direction.

Safety:

Vacuuming the air filter is recommended as it

avoids the fine dust causing any health hazards to

the operator.

Make sure to wear a suitable face mask and pro-

tect the eye while cleaning the air filter element,

as the fine dust particles may be hazardous to

health.

Clean the air filter element in a well ventilated room

the same is not available it is advised to do the

cleaning outdoors, but never in an unventilated

room.
