PRECAUTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS AND TIGHTENING TORQUES

Precautions to be followed while performing repair or

maintenance of fuel system:

1. Fuel is explosive. When working on fuel system

make sure to supply adequate ventilation to the

work area. Do not smoke, and keep sparks and

open flames away from workspace.

2. Disconnect negative cable terminal of battery.

3. Release the fuel pressure from the fuel system to

reduce the possibility of injury or fire.

4. Before repairing fuel tank assembly, clean it thor-

oughly to remove traces of fuel.

5. Always wear safety glasses and gloves.
