Description

Probable causes

Rectification/Repair actions

18 C1304 -

01

Steering Torque

Sensor -

General

Electrical Failure

1) Internal electrical failure

in torque sensor

1) Do an ignition Off-On. If the error

still persists replace the steering

column.

19 C1305 -

01

Steering Rotor

Position Sensor

- General

Electrical Failure

1) Internal electrical

(internally senor damaged)

failure in rotor position

sensor.

1) Do an ignition Off-On. If the error

still persists replace the steering

column.

20 C1305 -

02

Steering Rotor

Position Sensor

- General signal

failure

1) Internal signal (signal out

of range) failure in rotor

position sensor.

1) Do an ignition Off-On. If the error

still persists replace the steering

column.

21 C1312 -

62

Rotor Position

Sensor Signal

"A" to "B" -

signal compare

failure

1) Values from both signals

output from sensor are not

coherent to each other

(Faulty sensor)

1) Reset the ECU. Remove the power

plug from ECU and reconnect after

about 5 minutes, If error still persists

replace the steering column.

22 C1314 -

19

Drive Motor “A”

Phase Current -

circuit current

above threshold

1) Motor current

consumption above the max

limit for a time interval.

1) Check wiring Connections &

connectors of power supply if

damaged than Replace the vehicle

wiring harness or connector.

2) Remove the power supply

connector and check the voltage (+12

V at connector which is directly from

the battery). If connector Voltage <

9V, check the battery.

If error still persists replace the ECU

23 C1314 -

01

Drive Motor “A”

Phase Current -

General

Electrical Failure

1) Internal ECU motor driver

circuit failure

1) Check wiring Connections &

connectors of power supply if

damaged than Replace the vehicle

wiring harness or connector.

2) Remove the power supply

connector and check the voltage (+12

V at connector which is directly from

the battery). If connector Voltage <

9V, check the battery.

If error still persists replace the ECU

24 C1314 -

13

Drive Motor “A”

Phase Current -

circuit open

1) Any motor supply cable

(U phase, V phase, W

phase) is open circuit

1) Check wiring Connections &

connectors of power supply if

damaged than Replace the vehicle

wiring harness or connector.

2) Remove the power supply

connector and check the voltage (+12

V at connector which is directly from

the battery). If connector Voltage <

9V, check the battery.

If error still persists replace the ECU /

Steering Column
