2.6 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES - EPAS

Sr

No DTC No Code

Description

Probable causes

Rectification/Repair actions

1

U3001 -

00

Control Module

Improper

Shutdown

Performance -

no sub type

information

1) Sudden Loss of power or

2) Discharge battery or

3) battery terminal (loose/

Sulphated /corroded) or

4) EPAS power connector

loose or

5) No output from alternator

or

6) fuse blown in fuse box

7) ECU pin bend / damage

1) Check wiring Connections &

connectors of power supply if

damaged than Replace the vehicle

wiring harness or connector.

2) Check battery voltage (>11.5V) and

alternator voltage (13.5 V to 14.5 V in

engine running condition) and check

battery & alternator if required Charge

the battery or Repair/Replace the

Alternator.

3) Check ECU connector pins

bend/damage than replace the ECU.

4) Check Fuses in Fuse box ( J-Case

Fuse (60 Amp)) if fuse is blown than

replace a fuse

if DTC is still persist than replace the

ECU.

Control Module

Input Power "A"

- circuit voltage

below threshold

1) Discharged Battery or

2) Battery cable terminal

(corroded/Sulphation/Loose)

or

3) Alternator is

undercharging or

4) High resistance within the

supply cable or

5) EPAS power connector

loose

1) Check wiring Connections &

connectors of power supply if

damaged than Replace the vehicle

wiring harness or connector.

2) Measure supply voltage (>11.5V) at

ECU power supply connector from

wiring harness side if voltage is not <

11.5V than charge the battery after

that if low voltage again persist check

the battery if required replace the

battery.

3)Check resistance between vehicle

ground and ground at the power

supply connector(should be <1 ohm) if

resistance did not meet the

requirement check the wiring

connection and if problem still persist

than replace the wiring harness.

4) Check the fuses in Fuse box (J-

Case Fuse (60 Amp)) if fuse is blown

than replace a fuse.

5) Check alternator voltage (13.5 V to

14.5 V in engine running condition)

6) Check the power supply line for

short circuit if persist change the

wiring harness.
