BRAKE SYSTEM

REMOVAL OF BRAKE HOSE/PIPES

1. Remove brake fluid fromTMC reservoir.

2. Disconnect brake pipes from TMC ports.

For booster fitted vehicle

2. Disconnect vacuum lines from booster and intake

manifold.

3. Support the vehicle on hoist.

4. Remove all mounting clamps (2)

5. Disconnect brake hoses from clips (1)

6. Disconnect brake pipe from brake drum assy.

Inspection

1. Inspect brake hose/pipe for wear and cracks.

Replace if found defective.

2. Replace damaged clamps or clips.

Installation

1. Before installation, make sure that all brake hose/

pipes are free from any dust or foreign material.

2. Connect brake pipes to each brake drum assy and

tighten the nut to specified torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR BRAKE PIPE NUT = 0.5 -

0.8 Kg-m

3. Connect brake pipes to TMC ports and tighten the

nuts to specified torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR BRAKE LINES

ATTACHED TO TMC = 1.4 - 1.6 Kg - m

For booster fitted vehicle

3. Connect vacuum lines to booster and intake

manifold.

4. Tighten all brake joints or brake coupling nuts.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR ALL BRAKE COUPLING

NUTS = 1.4 - 1.6 Kg-m

5. Fix all mounting clamps and clips.

6. Fill reservoir to correct level. Bleed brake system.

(Refer bleeding of hydraulic system).

7. Perform brake test and check for any leaks.

CAUTION:

(a) While installing brake hose/pipes, make sure that

flexible hose has no twist or kink.

(b) Check to make sure that flexible hose does not

contact any suspension parts, both in extreme left

and extreme right turn conditions.

(c) Install all clamps and clips properly.
