DRIVETRAIN

5. Insert the tripod (4) in to driveshaft.

4. Fix the boot insert (7) inside the boot.

NOTE :

The metal clip (as shown by arrow) should be at

bottom side of the boot insert.

3. Insert the boot and clamp (large) (6) up to the step

given on driveshaft.

Assembly of driveshaft

1. Make sure that both joints are washed thoroughly.

Clean the tripod and tripod rollers thoroughly with

diesel. Remove all traces of old grease and any

contaminates. Dry all the parts. Inspect these

parts for damage or wear. (If any of the parts are

damaged, the entire subassembly needs to be

replaced). Clean the boots with cloth if they are to

be reused.

NOTE :

Do not wash boots in de-greaser, such as gasoline or

kerosene etc. Washing in de-greaser causes

deterioration of boot.

2. Insert boot clamp (small) (9) in to driveshaft. Do

not crimp the clamp at this stage.
