Refitment of Accelerator Cable
•
Insert plastic cap (pedal end) on hole on firewall &
insert lock clip inside cabin.
•
Insert the terminal into slot of cable mtg bracket
on accelerator pedal end .
•
Route the cable at under body to the engine by
clamping from all underbody clamps.
•
At throttle body end of cable, slide the rubber boot
from threaded strut on inner cable. Unscrew& slide
one of lock nut on inner cable.
•
Rotate the pulley at throttle body to bring the slot
upward & insert the terminal inside the same slot.
•
Insert the threaded strut into throttle body cable
mounting bracket; slide one of lock nut back on
threaded strut.
•
Fit the rubber boot (dust cover) back on threaded
strut.
•
Set the lock nut.
•
Tighten both the M8 nuts around throttle adjusting
bracket.
NOTE
Ensure that the dust cover is properly fitted.
Inspection:
1. Check for bends on cable.
2. Cut in inner wire strands, opening out of strands.
3. Check for jamming of inner cable.
4. Damages & cuts in outer cable, so that water does
not enter inside cable.
5. Check for all Plastic clips, clamps & separators
fitted in respective locations, so that rubbing of
cable with neighboring (Fuel line/A/C tubes) parts
avoided.
