SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

Replacement of Accelerator Cable

•

Remove rear seat completely from vehicle. (Refer

Removal procedure of Rear Seat fromBody group)

•

Take out engine access cover with the help of screw

driver.

NOTE

Six notch locks are provided on insulation engine

cover. Insert the screw driver at any notch position

to facilitate easy removal of cover from body.

•

Loosen the nut at the throttle body

•

Remove the cable from the bracket.

•

Remove cable terminal from the throttle body.

NOTE

Make sure not to damage the rubber dust cap.

•

Cut cable tie from engine cradle.

•

Remove all clamps for accelerator cable.

•

Remove clamp from cross member front

•

Release the cable terminal (pedal side) from

accelerator pedal slot.

•

Press the floor end fitting & push it back out of

firewall to take the cable out.

•

Pull the cable out from underbody from the area

near wheel arch.
