Use a suitable Teflon tape (minimum density of

1.2 g / cc) and start wrapping on the cylinder

valve thread in the direction of male tapered

thread spiral for complete 3 turns as shown and

join with a slight overlap.

Make sure that tape does not overhang the first

thread as it may block passage / small orifices in

any of gas circuit parts.

Cut-off excess tape and draw free end of the

tape and press firmly at the overlay point.

Put the rubber gasket on the valve thread.

Insert the valve thread into the cylinder neck

manually and screw it in clock-wise direction till

the threads do not engage further.

Hold the cylinder in a suitable fixture.

Tighten the valve to a torque value between 27-

30 Kg-m using a torque wrench & tightening tool

(Part No: 5402 5890 47 01) as shown below.

Connect the solenoid valve electrical connector.

Caution!

Do not try to screw / unscrew the valve

by holding the solenoid coil and manual ON /

OFF knob.

After complete installation of the cylinder valve,

check all the connections of cylinder valve and

also check the connection of solenoid coil with

multimeter, and then slowly open the manual

ON/OFF knob of the valve until it is fully open.

NOTE:

Never try to remove the cylinder valve on

vehicle.

For any repairs activity, which requires the

removal of cylinder valve from cylinder,

should be done only at TATA authorized

dealers / at authorized cylinder rectifications

agencies.
