OIL REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE DURING III. RECOMMONDED SERVICE INTERVAL 1. Open the oil fill plug on top of the transmission. 2. Open the oil level plug at the bottom of transmission. 3. Fill the transmission through the oil fill hole till the oil starts overflowing from the oil levelling hole (for a drained transmission this is 5.2 litres approx.). 4. Mount back the oil level plug together with an unused sealing ring. Tighten the oil level plug to specified torque. 5. Mount back the oil fill plug together with an unused sealing ring. Tighten the oil fill plug to specified torque. 6. Start the engine and stay at idle for at least 10 seconds (note: air circulating through the system may be heard on initial start-up, this is a normal operating condition). 7. With foot on brake: Shift gear lever into D position and allow the gear to rest in this position for 3 seconds. OIL LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE IV. 1. Ensure that the oil temperature is between 25°C and 45°C (room temperature). 2. Prepare 500 ml of clean recommended transmission oil. 3. Place a clean container below the oil level plug. 4. Open the oil fill plug on top of the transmission. 5. Open the oil level plug at the bottom of transmission. 6. Fill the transmission with 500ml of clean oil through the oil fill hole (Oil will start overflowing from the oil-levelling hole into the container). 7. After filling in 500ml, wait until no more oil is dripping out of the oil-levelling hole or until there is negligible dripping. 8. Measure the quantity of oil collected in the container and compare it with the expected value. If the collected quantity is between 130ml and 500ml*, it confirms that the transmission is filled properly, and the oil level is within the defined tolerance band. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 41
