K. OIL DRAINING AND FILLING PROCEDURE OIL DRAIN PROCEDURE I. 1. Ensure that the Transmission is at room temperature. 2.Drain the Transmission oil from the transmission through the drain plug in the oil pan. 3. Mount the oil drain plug back. 4. Tighten the drain plug together with an unused sealing ring at specified tightening torque. INITIAL OIL FILL PROCEDURE NEW II. TRANSMISSION 1. Remove the oil fill plug on top of the transmission. 2. Fill the transmission through the oil fill hole with the amount stated. 3. Refit the oil plug together with an unused sealing ring. 4. Tighten the plug to specified torque. 5. After the initial filling is done, the following action must be executed to vent the DCT: 6. Initial start-up of the engine in Neutral position. 7. With foot on brake: Shift gear lever into D position and allow the gear to rest in this position for 3 seconds. NOTE Some quantity of Oil will remain in transmission due construction design & requirement. NOTE * First take off to be done with creep or very low pedal. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 40
