V. POWER SHIFT MODULE The “Power Shift Module” is a combination of the 2 wet clutches and a planetary gearset. These components doesn’t require any periodic service and are not forseen to be replaced in a service station. VI. BLDC DRUM MOTOR The BLDC motor is driving the shift “Drum” through a set of gears. By rotating the drum, the shift forks are synchronizing and engaging specific gearsets. The BLDC motor is a replaceable part, in case it would fail. A BLDC motor can be dismounted and placed back on the same transmission. It is however not advised to mount a BDC motor on other transmission then the original. During the mounting of the motor there will be a plastic deformaton of the flange. In case the BLDC motor is mounted on other transmission, with different tolerances, the axial pretention of the flange can be reduced. This reduced pretention can lead to vibrations. Furthermore it will also have a negative influence on the sealing behavior of the o-ring, what can result in leakage of transmission oil between the transmission and the BLDC motor.
