NEW NEXON SERVICE MANUAL

HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT IV. The “hydraulic control unit” has 5 solenoids to control; EDS 1 = Clutch 2 (“Clutch”) actuation pressure solenoid • EDS 2 = Clutch 2 (“Clutch”) cooling flow solenoid • EDS 3 = Clutch 1 (“Brake”) actuation pressure solenoid • EDS 4 = Clutch 1 (“Brake”) cooling flow solenoid • EDS 5 = Line pressure solenoid • Furthermore it has 2 pressure sensors to measure; Clutch 1 (“Brake”) actuation pressure • Clutch 2 (“Clutch) actuation pressure • In case one of these sensors or actuators fail, it is required to replace the complete HCU, since the HCU is not designed to change single components. NOTE : HCU’s can be changed between transmissions, If the adaption values of the HCU what are stored on the TCU of the old transmission are flashed on the TCU of the new transmission. The HCU can be found in the oil sump, when removing the oilpan and the oil filter. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 20
