P0562-16: System Voltage Low – Upstream main relay battery voltage below threshold Overview: DTC Description (User Friendly) Upstream main relay battery voltage below threshold ECU Pin Number K01,K03,K05,K75 Customer Symptom CEL ON. Vehicle will be non-functional. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle non-functional Lamp Status (If Any) MIL OFF, CEL ON Fault Detection Condition (Root cause) EMS ECU receives supply voltage less than 8 V. Normal Operating Condition EMS ECU input power supply voltage in range of ~ 9 – 16 V Probable Trouble Area Battery Deep Discharge, Alternator not functioning, Battery poor health state Healing Condition Rectify the error Clear through diagnostic tool Ignition OFF & ON Component Details: Lead Acid Battery provides supply voltage to all vehicle electrical and electro mechanical components. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence. 2. Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier issue closure. 3. Check whether Load dump happened in vehicle. 4. Check whether the Vehicle Battery is deeply discharged or Battery health state is very poor. 5. Check whether vehicle is fitted with higher voltage rated battery 6. Is Alternator warning lamp (Battery charge Lamp) in cluster ON? Then check for alternator related issues. 7. Check whether the Alternator and its voltage regulator are working fine. If not perform necessary repairs. Trouble Shooting: Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check for any mal-functions in Alternator / Voltage Regulator of Alternator / Rectifiers of Alternator Perform necessary repairs Go to Next Step 2 Check whether the Vehicle battery is deeply discharged / Battery Health state is very poor Jump Start the Vehicle and let the Battery charge for some time. Post that Turn the Engine Off and clear the DTC and Read DTC & check whether the issue Go to next step
