SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 451 of 549 DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. i) Clear the DTC’s & make sure no DTC’s are present for Airbag system j) Check whether any new DTC’s are getting qualified for repeated cranking. k) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication is continuously ON in Instrument Cluster for 4 seconds after Ignition ON l) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication goes OFF after 4 seconds from Ignition ON. IS DTC PRESENT? CLEAR DTC . TURN OFF & ON IGNITION. AND CHECK FOR DTC’s ( at least ). to 3 times 2 IS DTC STILL PRESENT ? 1. READ EXISTING AIRBAG ECU SYSTEM CONFIGURATION USING EOL or SERVICE TOOL. 2. VERIFY WHETHER T HE VEHICLE IS HAVING THE CORRECT AIRBAG ECU SYSTEM CONFIGURATION AS PER THE V C ? IS CONFIG. CORRECT ? WRITE THE CORRECT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION IN A IR B AG ECU USING EOL or SERVICE TOOL YE S NO NO YES NO YES TURN OFF & ON THE IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC PRESENT? NO STOP RE - CONNECT THE ECU & W/H MODULE IN THE VEHICLE YES TURN ON IGNITION. CONNECT THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL AND CHECK FOR DTC’s START B 0 0 0 0 02 1 1-55 .
