SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 289 of 549 B0020-55:- Left Side Airbag Deployment Control not configured Overview:- ISO Code B0020-55 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Effects (On Vehicle) No effect Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Detection Condition Left Side Airbag Deployment Device is not configured in EOL, but physically present in the vehicle Normal Operating Condition Left Side Airbag configuration & physical presence in the vehicle should be as per the VC. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Left Side airbag System Configuration Airbag ECU Healing Condition 1. Correct System configuration should be written to Airbag ECU as per VC. 2. Left side airbag physical presence should be as per VC. Component Details:- Left Side Airbag Module: - This airbag is located in seat which inflate between the occupant and door. Airbag ECU: - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. Trouble Shooting:-
