SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 254 of 549 DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. a) Clear the DTC’s & make sure no DTC’s are present for Airbag system b) Check whether any new DTC’s are getting qualified for repeated cranking. c) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication is continuously ON in Instrument Cluster for 4 seconds after TURN ON IGNITION. CONNECT THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL AND CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC PRESENT? CLEAR DTC ’s . TURN OFF & ON IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s . IS RESISTANCE OK? YES NO NO YES NO YES TURN OFF & ON THE IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s NO RUN THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW MINUTES & CHECK FOR DTC B100B1F) ( MATURATION & DEMATURATION IN RUNNING CONDITION. 1. CLEAR DTC. TURN OFF AND ON IGNITION. 2. CHECK WHETHER THE DTC B100B1F IS GETTING MATURED? REPLACE PAD SWITCH CLEAR DTC’s. TURN OFF & ON IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s REPLACE RESPECTIVE WIRING HARNESS RE - CONNECT THE AB ECU, PAD SWITCH & AB W/H IN THE VEHICLE YES NO 1) DISCONNECT THE PAD SWIT CH FROM VEHICLE WIRING HARNESS. 2) CHECK WHETHER THE RESISTANCE ACROSS THE PINS C225 - 1 & C225 - 2 OF PAD SWITCH IS: a) SWITCH IN CLOSED CONDITION IS 100 - 10 % Ω b) SWITCH IN OPEN CONDITION IS 400 + %Ω 10 YES YES IS DTC STILL PRESENT? NO IS DTC STILL PRESENT? IS DTC STILL PRESENT? CLEAR DTC. TURN OFF & ON IGNITION. AND CHECK WHETHER DTC IS STILL PRESENT REPLACE THE AIRBAG ECU STOP YES NO START B 1 0 0 B 1 F :: Passenger Airbag Deactivation switch(PADS) circuit intermittent .
