SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 230 of 549 DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. e) Clear the DTC’s & make sure no DTC’s are present for Airbag system f) Check whether any new DTC’s are getting qualified for repeated cranking. g) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication is continuous ly ON in Instrument Cluster for 4 seconds after Ignition ON h) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication goes OFF after 4 seconds from Ignition ON. TURN ON IGNITION. CONNECT THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL AND CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC PRESENT? CLEAR DTC . TURN OFF & ON IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s ( at least 2 to 3 times). YES NO NO YES NO YES TURN OFF & ON THE IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC STILL PRESENT? NO RE - CONNECT THE ECU, PADI HW & W/H MODULE IN THE VEHICLE NO NO YES YES YES IS DTC STILL PRESENT ? 1. TURN OFF IGN. REMOVE PADI HW CONNECTOR FROM VEHICLE W/H. 2. TURN ON IGNITION . CLEAR DTC’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s. IS DTC B00 D5 - 1 2 PRESENT? REPLACE THE PADI MODULE 1. TURN OFF IGN. RECONNECT PADI HW 2. CHECK WHETHER THE VOLTAGEACROSS O UT P UT PINS C176 A - 24 W.R.T VEHICLE GROUND IS IN THE RANGE OF 10 V TO 12 V IN PAD SWITCHOFF CONDITION . STOP REPLACE THE PADI MODULE WITH A NEW ONE IS VOLTAGE IS IN 10 T0 12 V? REPLACE AIRBAG ECU WITH A NEW ONE. 1. TURN OFF IGN. REPLACE AIRBAG W/H. 2. CONNECT THE AIRBAG ECU, W/H & PADI HW IN VEHI CLE. 3. TURN ON IGNITION. CLEAR DTC’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s. IS DTC B00 D5 - 12 PRESENT? START B 0 0 D5 1 2 :: RestraintSystem Passenger Disable Indicator circuit short to battery .
