SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 183 of 549 DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. a) Clear the DTC’s & make sure no DTC’s are present for Airbag system b) Check whether any new DTC’s are getting qualified for repeated cranking. c) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication is continuously ON in Instrument Cluster for 4 seconds after Ignition ON d) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication goes OFF after 4 seconds from Ignition ON. CLEAR DTC ’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s 2. SEND THE DIAG REQUEST “ 14 FF FF FF ” & CHECK WHETHER NRC 22 IS RECEIVED ? IS NRC 22 RECEIVED ? 1. TURN OFF IGNITION. REP LACE THE AIRBAG ECU WITH A NEW ONE. 2. SEND THE OLD ECU TO THE SUPPLIER FOR ANALYSIS THROUGH CUSTOMER SUPPORT. YES NO NO YES TURN OFF & ON IGNITIO N . CLEAR DTC ’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC STILL PRESENT? NO STOP YES RE - CONNECT THE AIRBAG ECU ( NEW ) & W/H MODULE IN THE VEHICLE START B 1 0 1 1 00 :: Front Deployment Crash – no sub type information . TURN ON IGNITION. CONNECT THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL AND CHECK FOR DTC’s
