SRS / Airbag ECU – DTC Troubleshooting Guide Vers ion: 14.0 Da te: 14-February-2017 Prepared by:Airbag COC Review & Approved by:Sanjeev VM Page: 175 of 549 Trouble Shooting:- DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. a) Clear the DTC’s & make sure no DTC’s are present for Airbag system b) Check whether any new DTC’s are getting qualified for repeated cranking. c) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication is continuously ON in Instrument Cluster for 4 seconds after Ignition ON d) Ensure the Airbag Warning Lamp Indication goes OFF after 4 seconds from Ignition ON. TURN ON IGNITION. CONNECT THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL AND CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC PRESENT? TURN OFF & ON IGNITION. CLEAR DTC’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s. IS DTC STILL PRESENT ? START THE ENGINE & CHECK WHETHER THE BATTERY VOLTAGEIS < = 8 V . IS VOLT < = 8 V ? CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR SOMETIME YES NO NO YES NO TURN OFF & ON THE IGNITION & CHECK FOR DTC’s IS DTC STILL PRESENT? NO DIS CONNECT THE AIRBAG ECU CONNECTOR FROM VEHICLE W/H . TURN ON IGNITION. CHECK THE INPUT VOLTAGEOF AIRBAG ECU W.R.T VEHICLE GROUND IS < = 8 V. STOP RE - CONNECT THE ECU & W/H MODULE IN THE VEHICLE YES REPLACE AIRBAG ECU WITH A NEW ONE REPLACE RESPECTIVE WIRING HARNESS NO YES NO IS VOLT < = 8 V ? TURN OFF & ON IGNITION. CLEAR DTC’s & CHECK FOR DTC’s. IS DTC STILL PRESENT? YES YES START U30061 6 :: Control Module Input Power "A" circuit voltage below threshold .
