Author: ERC Page: 17 of 202 B1F2D-11:- Air Temperature Motor Drive Line- Circuit Short to Ground; ISO Code B1F2D-11 Customer Symptom No air temperature control (manual or automatic) Fault Effects (On Vehicle) If polarity of motor lines is affected by fault, motor will move to either end stop Lamp Status (If Any) Motor To be Disabled Fault Detection Condition Temperature Door Control Motor Drive Line - Circuit Short to Ground fault is logged Normal Operating Condition Air Temperature Drive Motor is Functional and check the voltage between blue connector pin no 4 & ground and 20 & ground of the Connector. The voltage range should be in between 0 to 14 V. Probable Trouble Area Motor drive line is shorted to ground Healing Condition If there is a continuity between the Motor drive line and ground line correct the wiring harness (wiring harness short to ground) Component Details: The actuator controls the position of the temperature blend door based on the voltage signal from the FATC module. Potentiometer, inside the actuator, sends a feedback signal to the controller and controller cuts off the voltage signal coming from the controller when the required door position is achieved. Preliminary Checks: Switch On the IGN & perform the following check. 1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code 2) Read ECU parameter, Target Position of Temperature Door Flap and Temperature Door flap Position (Internal Value) for actual and target position of Actuator
