Author: ERC Page: 5 of 202 B1F1B-11:- Solar Radiation Sensor Circuit - Circuit short to Ground; ISO Code B1F1B- 11 Customer Symptom System operates but with reduced sensitivity to conditions Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Solar load cannot be evaluated and solar compensation will not be possible Lamp Status (If Any) No solar load is considered Fault Detection Condition Solar Radiation Sensor Circuit - Circuit short to Ground Normal Operating Condition With the sensor connected to the harness and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between pin no 1 & 2 of the sensor. The voltage range should be in between 4.057 to 1.334 V Probable Trouble Area Sensor signal line short to ground or sensor is faulty Healing Condition 1) If the values seen on the diagnostics tool in read ECU parameters is not getting updated then replace the sensor 2) If there is a continuity between the sensor signal and ground lines correct the wiring harness (wiring harness short to ground). Component Details: Solar sensors sends the voltage to control unit according to the intensity of sunlight. Stronger the incident sunlight, higher the voltage. Preliminary Checks: Switch On the IGN & perform the following check. 1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code 2) Read ECU parameter value sensor Solar Load Status for solar load.
