C0040-64:- Brake Pedal Switch “A”- Signal Plausibility Failure Overview: ISO Code C0040-64 Customer Symptom Warning Light Displayed Fault Effects (On Vehicle) NA Lamp Status (If Any) ABS & EBD – Available Fault Detection Condition ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF Normal Operating Condition ABS is functional in between 10 to 16V Probable Trouble Area Master cylinder pressure increase without any hardwired BLS signals being set during no control The BLS-signal is set while the accelerator pedal is pressed with no active control for a long time Mechanical defect or wrong mounting of BLS Healing Condition Fault Rectification/ ECU replacement Component Details: NA Preliminary Checks: Examine the mounting of the Brake light switch and correct if defective. After rectifying the fault perform Ignition Off/On and apply/release brake to get fault free system If fault persists even after above steps, replace ECU
