C003A-64:- Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor- Signal Plausibility Failure Overview: ISO Code C003A-64 Customer Symptom Warning Light Displayed Fault Effects (On Vehicle) EBD – Available, ABS – Not available Lamp Status (If Any) ABS – ON, EBD – OFF Fault Detection Condition RR WSS is not functioning as expected Normal Operating Condition ABS is functional in between 10 to 16V Probable Trouble Area Loose contact/intermittent short in the WSS line Too much air gap ECU faulty Faulty WSS Worn or Missing teeth Non-plausible high wheel acceleration/Gradient/frequency Healing Condition Fault identification and rectification/ WSS replacement Component Details: Wheel Speed Sensor: A wheel speed sensor is part of the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). It is located on the tires. The job of the wheel speed sensor is to constantly monitor and report the rotational speed of each tire to the ABS control module. Preliminary Checks: Check for loose contact/intermittent short in the WSS line and remove it. (Pin no. 8, 4, 18 and 29 w.r.t to GND(pin no.13) and battery(pin no.1) Check WSS is installed and WSS is not dislodged from bracket / WSS is securely fastened. Check air gap. It should not be too much. Check for worn or missing teeth.
