Remove Outlet Diesel Particulate Filter exhaust gas temperature sensor connector. Go to Step 2. - 2. Identify the pin number 1 on the harness side connector. Go to step 3. - 3. Check the continuity between pin 1 of the harness side connector and battery positive. If it’s there than there is short ckt to battery. There is a short circuit in the harness and perform repairs accordingly. Go to step 4. 4. Disconnect the connector. Identify the pin number 1 on the harness side connector. Check the continuity between pin 1 of the harness side connector and battery positive. If the continuity is not observed then there is an open circuit means signal is missing. There is a short circuit in the harness and perform repairs accordingly. Go to step 5. 5. Are there any pins damaged at Sensor/EMS ECU Connector. Replace the connector or wiring Harness. Go to step 6. 6. Are there any pins backed out from the Sensor/EMS ECU Connector. Rectify/Replace Connectors. Go to Step 7. 7. Is sensor physically Damaged? Replace Sensor. Go to Step 8. 8. If fault still persists. then replace sensor and if fault still persists then call Hotline. Follow the above procedure again for Reconfirmation. DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer): 1. Check the errors at Ignition ON, engine running @ Idle & Fly-up with different vehicle speeds also. 2. If error present, then rectify the errors. 3. Confirm that there is no error logged in EMS before handing over vehicle to customer.
