U1620-08:- Lost communication with Drive Control Switch module Overview: ISO Code U1620-08 Customer Symptom None Fault Effects (On Vehicle) ABS, EBD & ESP – Available Lamp Status (If Any) ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF, ESP – OFF Fault Detection Condition 1. MSS connector is not connected properly or disconnected from its location. 2. CAN wire from MSS connector side are disconnected 3. MSS VCC line fuse blown/disconnected. 4. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of MSS are open circuit Normal Operating Condition MSS communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool. Probable Trouble Area 1. MSS connector / MSS fuse. 2. CAN lines of MSS Healing Condition 1. MSS is connected and no wiring harness issues from MSS side 2. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of MSS are connected properly Preliminary Check: 1. Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω. 2. Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13). There should not be any short circuit conditions. 3. Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14) 4. Read IVN DTCs in ABS/ESP in IGN ON condition Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
