B220E - 11: Front Wiper High Speed Switch - Circuit Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) B220E - 11 Customer Symptom Front wiper always ON (high Speed) Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Front wiper always ON(high speed) Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to ground fault is detected for Front wiper high speed switch then this DTC code will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Cockpit wiring harness short to ground 3. Front wiper high speed switch damaged 4. Combi switch connector fault. 5. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Front wiper high speed switch is part of combination stalk switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the IGN is on and if user put the combi switch to front wiper high speed position, front wiper will turn ON in high speed. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
