B220C - 12: Front Washer Switch - Circuit short to Battery or Open Circuit Overview: ISO Code B220C - 12 Customer Symptom Front Washer always OFF Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Front Washer always OFF Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to battery or open circuit fault is detected for Front washer switch then this DTC will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Cockpit harness Short to battery or open circuit 3. Switch damaged or stuck 4. Combi switch connector fault. 5. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Front washer switch is part of combination stalk switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the IGN is on and if user put the combi switch to Front Washer position, Front washer pump will turn ON. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
