U1014 – 09: Ignition Switch Failure Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) U1014 - 09 Customer Symptom Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged by BCM when any Ignition signals are failing. Normal Operating Condition All functionality is working properly. Probable Trouble Area Switch damaged Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Key In input switch is part of Ignition switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the Key In input switch is activated and RKE Lock functionality will not work. If user put the ignition switch to Key In power mode input position, RKE Lock functionality will not work. Accessory power mode input switch is part of Ignition switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the Accessory power mode input switch is activated and head lamps and power windows functionality will work properly. If user put the ignition switch to Accessory power mode input position, head lamps and power windows functionality will work. Accessory power mode input switch is active high. Preliminary Checks: 1.
