Is open circuit DTC in ECM in current state? 1. Remove ECM from vehicle wiring harness. 2.Measure the resistance between following lines in ECM vehicle side wiring harness 1. CANH &CANL, 2. CANH & Ground , 3. CANL & Battery, 4. CANH &Battery 5. CANL &Ground Go to step 2. Clear DTC. 2. Is Resistance R < 10 ohm. There is short circuit failure in between respective two lines. Do necessary repair in the harness. Clear DTC. Check the resistance between CANH and CANL of ECM connector in vehicle wiring harness.(with IPC connected on the vehicle).Go to step 3. 3. Check the resistance between CANH and CANL of ECM connector in vehicle wiring harness.(with IPC connected on the vehicle). Is resistance ≠ 120 ohm ? Check the continuity between 1. ECM CAN_H & IPC CAN_H 2. ECM CAN_L & IPC CAN_L In vehicle side connectors. Do necessary repair in the Harness. Go to step 4. Clear DTC. 4. If fault still persists. then replace sensor and if fault still persists then call Hotline. Follow the above procedure again for Reconfirmation. DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer): 1. Check the errors at Ignition ON, engine running @ Idle & Fly-up with different vehicle speeds also. 2. If error present, then rectify the errors. 3. Confirm that there is no error logged in EMS before handing over vehicle to customer.
