U0164-31: Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module: CCM Climate control Module Node Tout Faulty Overview: DTC Description (User Friendly) Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module: CCM Climate control Module Node Tout Faulty ECU Pin Number K068 – A/C abnormal pressure input. Customer Symptom AC will not Turn ON / AC Compressor will not Engage Fault Effects (On Vehicle) AC will not Turn ON / AC Compressor will not Engage Lamp Status (If Any) CEL OFF and MIL Off. Fault Detection Condition (Root cause) This fault takes place if the HVAC / FATC module is not connected on CAN network. Loss of communication between HVAC Module and EMS ECU. Any of the selected frames from CCM node is timed out. Normal Operating Condition Proper Can communication between FATC and EMS ECU. Probable Trouble Area CAN Connections between FATC and CAN network. Healing Condition EMS receiving CAN signals from FATC. Component Details: EMS ECU receives the AC request input from FATC controller through CAN signal. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence. 2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier issue closure. 3. Check for Damage in EMS ECU connector / FATC ECU Connector. 4. Check for any back out of pins at EMS ECU connector / FATC ECU Connector. 5. Check for any damage of pins at EMS ECU connector / FATC ECU Connector. Trouble Shooting:
