U0155-31: Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module: IPC Node Tout Faulty Overview: DTC Description (User Friendly) Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module: IPC Node Tout Faulty. ECU Pin Number K013 – CAN_H K014 – CAN_L A075 – Ignition K001, K003, K005 – Supply voltage battery K002, K004, K006 - Ground voltage battery Customer Symptom MIL OFF, CEL ON.RPM indication will be disabled. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) ECU will go into the default mode. Lamp Status (If Any) CEL ON. CEL Turns Off as and when fault condition is not present / healed. Fault Detection Condition (Root cause) 1. IPC connector is not connected properly or disconnected from its location. 2. CAN wire from IPC connector side is Disconnected. 3. IPC is not powered up. 4. CAN_H, CAN_L or/ and both lines of IPC are Opened. 5. Any of the the selected frames from Ipc node is timed out. Normal Operating Condition ECM ECU communicates properly with IPC ECU. Probable Trouble Area 1. Disconnection of the IPC connector 2. CAN_H and CAN_L lines at IPC connector end. Healing Condition 1. To fix the IPC connector correctly and Fix the wiring harness issues from IPC side. 2. CAN_H, CAN_L or/ and both lines of IPC are connected properly to the IPC connector. Component Details: ECM ECU communicates properly with IPC ECU in the CAN network. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence. 2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier issue closure. 3. Check for Damage in EMS ECU connector / IPC ECU Connector. 4. Check for any back out of pins at EMS ECU connector / IPC ECU Connector. 5. Check for any damage of pins at EMS ECU connector / IPC ECU Connector. Trouble Shooting:
