BRAKES 46 7. Remove return springs by using a brake spring tool. 8. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the back plate and Remove the back plate 9. Remove the brake shoe hold-down springs. Press against the head of the hold-down pin at the rear of the backing plate with finger, then compress the hold-down spring with a plier or brake hold-down spring tool. Turn the cup/tool to remove it from the pin (IF APPLICABLE). 10.Remove brake adjuster assembly along with shoe holding clips. 11.Remove brake shoes. 12.Remove the two brake cylinder bolts.
