TRANSAXLE (NANO AMT) 93 C. ASSEMBLY: 1. Place the synchro cone on the First gear as shown in fig, with the projection on cone facing upwards and measure the gap between synchro cone and first gear using a feeler gauge. This gap should be within 1.15 ~1.40 mm. 2. Remove the synchro cone from the first gear; place the first gear on the lay shaft and fit the circlip in the slot. NOTE: Check the gap between the circlip and the first gear, it should be within 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm. 3. Now place the synchro cone on the first gear with the projection on cone facing upwards. 4. Assemble the spring, carrier and ball, along with the engaging gear into the Shifter Sleeve (1 st and 2 ND gear). 5. Place the Shifter sleeve along the engaging gear assembly on the shaft, on the synchro cone. Groove is towards First gear side. 6. Place the synchro cone on the second gear and measure the gap between the second gear and the synchro cone using a feeler gauge. This gap should be within 1.15 ~1.40 mm.
