ENGINE DTC DESCRIPTION CAUSE DIAGNOSTIC LAMP ( MIL ) DIAGNOSTIC LAMP ( CEL ) Gil When Driven In CNG PROBABLE TROUBLE AREA P0420 Catalyst Signal Compare Failure Catalyst Aging /Oscillating Rear Sensor Voltage ON OFF ON 1) Check Catalyst 2) Check connection of Lambda sensor( Front and Rear) P0444 Canister Purge Valve signal error Signal Error ON OFF ON 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections or Intermittent fault. 2) Actuator supply line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 3) Actuator control line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 4) Check the continuity from Canister Purge connector pin 1 to ECU pin 235 & Canister Purge connector pin 2 to ECU pin 156. 5) Check for back out of pins at both Sensor connector and ECU connector. 6) Canister purge valve stuck/closed. 7) Faulty EPCV. 8) Faulty ECU P0445 Canister Purge Valve control circuit short circuit Short circuit ON OFF ON P0480 Radiator Fan relay control circuit signal error Signal Error OFF ON Blinking ON 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections. 2) Relay supply line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 3) Relay Control line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 4) Check the continuity from Radiator Fan Relay connector pin to the ECU pin 141 / Check the continuity from Condenser Fan Relay connector pin to the ECU pin 140. 5) Check for back out of pins at ECU connector. 6) Faulty/Damaged Relay P0482 Condenser Fan Relay Control Circuit signal error Signal Error OFF OFF ON P0501 Vehicle Speed Sensor signal error Signal Error OFF ON ON 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections. 2) Sensor supply line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 3) Sensor Signal line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 4) Check the continuity from instrument cluster vehicle speed pin to the ECU pin no 232. 5) Check for back out of pins at ECU connector. 6) INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 7) Faulty VSS. 8) Faulty ECU. P0506 Low intake air flow Stuck/blocked stepper motor. OFF ON ON 1. Blocked/Stuck stepper motor 2.Intake air leakage/ blockage of air path 3. Check for connections to intake manifold like canister hose, break booster hose, Pressure sensor mounting and mounting bolts of intake manifold to engine.
