For replacing only EMS-ECU Unit: Use UV diagnostic tool for Vehicle and go to ECU replacement section of EMS ECU. Now click on the “ Pair with IMMO ” button and follow the instructions C. For replacing both EMS-ECU and ICU Units: Start the Diagnostic software and select “TATA_Antitheft_Immobilizer” option. Now click on the “ Write VIN No ” button and enter the VIN number. Caution: As AES key is based on VIN no, proper care should be taken while reading and writing of VIN No. & it cannot be changed once it is written into the ICU. Any irregularity in the above procedure may leads to vehicle immobilization, in spite of new Immobilizer. Now click on the “Pair with EMS ECU” button and follow the instructions. After this stage, come out of the “Immobilizer” option and go to “EMS-ECU” option. Click on “Pair with IMMO” option and follow the instructions. D. Checking Pairing status: In the EMS-ECU software select “Engine Parameter 1”, then select “Electronic key” option and click START. One window will pop-up & shows below mentioned options. This window gives the current status of immobilizer system. i.e. Immo Programmed: Immobilizer enabled. Vehicle Not Locked: Vehicle ready for start. Vehicle locked: Vehicle will not start Immo code programmed and locked: Pairing operation OK. AES key is written in to EMS and locked. Immo code programmed and unlocked: Pairing operation not done properly. AES key is written in to EMS and Unlocked. Key code OK / Authentication OK: AES key for EMS ECU and ICU are same. Free starts Inactive: After locking AES, free starts are inactive. If AES is not locked free starts is active for 5 times. Immo CAN Communication OK: Proper communication. Otherwise it will show CAN communication “OFF”.
