FRONT AXLE (4X4) 43 LH half shaft has male splines on DOJ side and it fits inside gear in differential case. RH half shaft has female splines and it fits on axle shaft. Fix Rzeppa joints are used at wheel end. Double offset joints are used at center section. NOTE Only rubber boots are serviceable in driveshaft DISMANTLING 1. Mark the position of small end of the boot on shaft. It has been fitted back in the same position during reassembly. 2. Cut boot clamps and discard. Cut boots and discards NOTE Boot clamps and boots are not to be reused. 3. Wipe away grease, to make snap ring of inner race visible. 4. Expand snap ring and remove shaft by tapping on outer race by brass hammer.
