Rear Axle 10 2.2 REMOVAL OF CARRIER SECTION FROM BANJO: Ensure Axle is securely mounted on work stand, (Companion Flange Facing Upwards) Remove the carrier mounting stud nuts & bolts with the help of socket (size 10 for bolts & size 13 for nuts) Note: Discard The Nuts & Bolts & Use New while Re- Installation. Tap the carrier assembly with medium blows from nylon mallet to loosen up the sealing compound. Lift & remove carrier section from banjo & mount it on work stand securely. Warning: Secure clamping of & work bench is required; loose clamps may leads to accidents as carrier section is heavier part on the axle assembly. Remove studs & Clean the sealant from the banjo carrier mounting face with the help of cleaning agent (e.g. Thinner). Note: If no work is likely to be done on banjo, cover the wheel end sides & banjo bowl to avoid contamination to enter in it. 3. CARRIER SECTION: A-CARRIER DIS - ASSEMBLY. 3.1 DISASSEMBLY OF CARRIER SECTION & DIFFERENTIAL. Remove Bearing Caps. Note: Liquid Gasket is used for seal carrier section with banjo beam. Scrap this sealant & clear it. Remove Bearing Caps by Removing Bearing Cap Bolts.
