REMOVAL AND REFITMENT OF TANDEM

MASTER CYLINDER

(TMC)

& BOOSTER

ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1. Position vehicle on two post lift and

disconnect battery.

2. Drain the brake fluid from the brake circuit.

(For procedure refer brake fluid draining in this

section.)

3. Disconnect the electrical connector of brake

fluid level switch.

4. Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster.

5. Remove the spring band clamp at the reservoir

bottom side (clutch port) and hold hose in

vertically upward position to avoid any further

loss of fluid and plug the openings with

suitable cap.

6. Loosen coupling nuts and disconnect

hydraulic lines attached to TMC.

7. Loosen and remove the mounting nuts and

remove the TMC assembly from the vehicle.

FITMENT

For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.

TMC mounting nuts tightening torque 1.8±0.03

Kgf-m.

NOTE

Make sure that lines are fitted correctly i.e.

primary outlet is connected to ABS/ESP ECU

MC1 and secondary outlet is connected to

ABS/ESP ECU MC2.

Connect clutch hose.

After refitment bleed the brake circuit & Clutch

circuit.

Do not overhaul the TMC assembly as it is

not serviceable and needs to be replaced

as an assembly.
