A. PROCEDURE OF ATF LEVEL CHECK FOR A/T

1. Add Genuine ATF SP-IV M1 equivalent 700cc to the injection hole. Among the hole 1 or 2, choose one

the easy to ATF injection. But caution of foreign material (sand, mud, water, etc.) insertion into the inject

hole.

2. Start the engine. (Don’t step on brake and accelerator simultaneously)

3. Confirm that the A/T OTS (Oil Temperature Sensor) temperature is 50

~ 60

with “SCANNER”.

4. Shift the select lever slowly from “P” to “D”, then “D” to “P” and repeat one more (keep on each speed

position more than 2sec.) at Idle.

5. Lift the Car, then remove the oil level plug from the V/body cover. At this time, the vehicle must be a

horizontal state.

6. If the oil stream becomes thin, the oil level is correct. Then finish the procedure and tighten the oil level

plug. Oil level check (Excess or Shortage) method.

a. Excess: Drain quantity exceed900 cc for 3minutes. (50

~ 60

)

b. Shortage: No Drain.

The gasket of oil level plug (use new one.

(Not to reuse old one)

7. Put down the Car and lock the Bolt-Eye. Tightening torque of Bolt-Eye : 3 ~ 5 Nm

8. When ATF is totally exchange, fill required quantity as per specification after it is drained totally through

oil drain hole. Then repeat above procedure “1” to “7”.

The gasket of drain plug use new one. (Not to reuse old one).

Tightening torque of drain plug: 34 ~ 44 Nm.
