12.Install the needle bearing.
13.Install the reverse gear and the rear bearing
using and a suitable press.

14.Install a
NEW
rear bearing retention bolt, tighten
to the proper (Transmission and Transfer
Case/Manual/Specifications).
24.REMOVAL BACKUP (REVERSE) LAMP
SWITCH
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery
cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery
Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first
before disconnecting the negative battery
cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner body (Engine/Air Intake
System/BODY, Air Cleaner/Removal and
Installation).
3. Disconnect the backup lamp switch wire
harness connector.
4. Remove the backup lamp switch.
