14.6. REMOVAL
OF
PARKING
BRAKE
LEVER
1. Position the car in the two-post lift.
2. Place the Parking Brake in Fully released
position as shown below.
3. From the cabin, remove center console.
Loosen the parking brake slackness
adjustment nut located inside the console that
can be accessed through the parking adjuster
cover.
4. Lift the car up with the help of two-post lift.
5. Remove the Primary Cable of the Parking
Brake lever from the Equalizer connected to
Parking Brake Cables.
6. Lower the car back to down.
7. Unscrew the Cable Guide mounting bolts.
8. Disconnect the electrical connection to parking
brake lever.
9. Unscrew 2 Top mounting bolts and 1 side-
mounting bolt of Parking Brake lever and take
out the Assembly.
