13.5.

REMOVAL AND REFITMENT OF REAR

BRAKE ASSEMBLY

Removal Procedure

1. Loosen the rear wheel banjo nuts lift the car in

two-post lift and ensure that parking brake

lever is not engaged. After that, remove the

wheels.

NOTE:

For removal of drum, the adjuster assembly

required to collapse. Use flat head screw driver to

push the pawl and loosen nut suitably.

2. Remove the brake drum by unscrewing the

stub axle nut as shown and gently tapping by

mallet

3. Slacken off the hand brake cable.

4. Remove the parking brake cable holder lock

pin from the back plate

5. Remove the parking brake cable. Slip it up and

out of the parking brake lever that is attached

to the trailing brake shoe.

6. Disconnect the brake cylinder hydraulic line.
