V. AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR AND
ALTERNATOR BELT REPLACEMENT
The belt used in this vehicle is poly-v belt. Belt is
supported with auto-tensioner which helps to
maintain the belt tension for efficient power
transmission.
CAUTION
The belt is not interchangeable and should
not be interchanged with normal multi-
ribbed belts.
REMOVAL
1. Rotate the tensioner point by using ring
spanner opposite to belt tension and remove
the belt.
INSTALLATION
1. Route the new belt through the crankshaft
pulley, then the alternator and water pump
pulley and then to the compressor and finally
through the auto tensioner to the crankshaft
pulley.
2. Rotate the tensioner point by using ring
spanner opposite to belt tension and install the
belt with the help of clevis meter measure the
proper belt tension.
CAUTION
Ensure that the tool is correctly located
during the belt fitment process. Make sure
that while rotating the crank shaft pulley the
belt should not slip away from AC
Compressor pulley.
