2.3.2 STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the connection of battery.

2. Remove steering wheel (

Refer Steering wheel

removal procedure).

3. Remove 2 nos screws of nacelle bottom cover

& take out the nacelle bottom cover.

4. Remove the mounting nut of steering column.

5. Remove combination switch.

(Refer body

section / Electrical section.)

6.

Remove the clock spring. (Refer body section /

Electrical section.)

7. Remove the dash board bottom cover (

Refer

body section

).

8. Disconnect the electrical connector’s from the

ECU.

9. Remove the bolt nut of the lower mounting

bracket of steering column which is mounted

on CCB.

10.Remove the 2 nos mounting nuts.

CAUTION

Hold the steering column to aviod sudden fall and

damage to steering column while removing

mounting nuts of column.

WARNING

Hold the steering column to aviod sudden fall of

the steering column that can cause injury to

operator.

11. Remove the mounting screw of upper

universal joint.

12.Disengage the steering column assembly from

the upper universal joint and take out the

steering column.
